Negative Communication

I noticed that the comments on the Huffington Post article were based on factual information. People were a bit more mindful of their negativity. No one really tried to intentionally hurt anyone's feeling or post about irrelevant nonsense. Most of the comments actually applied to the issue of gun control. At times however debates did get a bit heated.

The comments about the gun control video (on You Tube) were mostly like a year old. Some of those comments were also based on factual information. However I did read some really inappropriate comments that had nothing to do with the topic, but people trying to get attention.

The twitter comments were interesting. Users often made gun control jokes. they spoke about guns in relation to movies. There wasn't much talk about the amendment. Twitter was a mix of the comments on you tube and the Huffington Post.

I figure that people who want to make rude, irrelevant, and silly comments aren't reading the Huffington Post as often as the individual who really cares about to topic being looked into. The typical "troll" would be more present on sites like You Tube and especially twitter. It's very easy to be anonymous on You Tube and Twitter has millions of users.
