Building a Community
Community may be thought of as a group of people living together in one place, often times sharing the same religious beliefs, political beliefs, and ideas of society. However in the CMC world Community can be described as a group of individuals who like similar things but don't necessarily share all the same beliefs. When presenting information, one must have an idea of who one's target audience is. Without setting a target audience it may become difficult to get one's message across to its intended viewer. Once the presenter figures out the target audience then he/she can post ideas, images, videos etc. they assume the target audience would like. This way the community will build and grow. Should the content of this group alter in any way, the community may change in that activity will decrease or even increase. In order to keep traffic flowing one must keep the content on the blog fresh and appropriate for the particular audience. In order to get more viewers and subscribers the one presenting the information must spread the word about one's vlog, blog, webpage, etc. Advertising is key! The more people who know where to access information, they more the word gets out.
